Musical
Moments
Most
Memorable
Mainly
with Sun Life Band. Swiss tour; Playing at the very last Belle Vue
British Open Contest; Every Albert Hall appearance.
Most Embarrassing
When
helping to organise the Canford Summer School of Music Brass Band
Course with James Watson and the Black Dyke Principals, taking the
stage to play 'Variations on a 9th' and realising I had left my
mouthpiece in my case.
I had to start the piece with a borrowed pea-shooter of a mouthpiece
and was able to swap to my own halfway through. Luckily, I held
the 'big-cadenza' together. |
